The book itself is great. The cover is beautiful, better than expected in fact, the interior is also great quality with the artwork and the content. My only real complaints are that it arrived horribly packaged, no protection to the book itself. It was literally laid on a box and had some air packs on top of it. The part that bothers me the most is some MORON decided to put a STICKER ON THE COVER OF A COLLECTOR EDITION BOOK! Other than that the book itself is worth buying.
Love the look of these limited edition books. I'm looking forward to more of these releases in the future.
I have every 5e book I could find and this is easily the best resource for high level enemies, plus the fey elves are really cool. Alternate cover looks incredible.
My copy arrived ahead of it's delivery schedule, and I am pleased with the result.The cover's illustration is beautifully drawn, and so are the illustrations within the book, alongside with the monsters, lore, and customization options for characters.
Came a little dinged in the corner, but the item is great! Stands out from the rest of my books, but that's a good thing. Too bad I missed out on the Xanathar's Guide at MSRP. :)Content-wise, I like the 'expansion' they do to try and simplify the game's rules by making more specific rules to govern all situations. I own the original and bought this edition as a gift for my sister. Naturally I compared the two editions. It really is just a cover change but as a gift for a collector with shelf space, it is a lovely edition. The artwork and foiling is beautiful and hasn’t worn away with frequent use.
